What do you like to eat for breakfast on a hurried morning? Some oatmeal, a piece of toast?

If you’re in a rush, one of the quickest things you can do is to blend of some fruit, juice, milk, or grains and make a smoothie.

To help you find just the right combination of ingredients, I’ve gathered over 50 recipes to share with you today. These recipes are made from the most delicious fruits, veggies, grains, plant milks, and other ingredients to help you start your morning off on the right foot.

Substitutions

One thing that I love about smoothies is that they are so easy to customize.

If the recipe suggests dairy yogurt, go ahead and use non-dairy yogurt if that’s what works for you. Not a fan of nut butter? Leave it out. Out of strawberries? Use raspberries instead. You can use these recipes as a starting point and create your own recipes that are just right for you!

Non-Dairy Milk

I prefer to use coconut milk and coconut milk yogurt in my smoothies, but use whatever dairy substitutes that work for your dietary needs. In the winter, when many fruits are not in season, I rely on frozen organic varieties. Trader Joe’s, Costco, Whole Foods, and Kroger are great places to find frozen organic fruit.

Storage

If you make too much of any of these recipes, you can save it in the refrigerator for later that day. After a day, the quality will not be the best, so it’s a good idea to try to consume your smoothie as soon as you make it for the best flavor and texture.
