I'm excited to share that I've successfully completed a comprehensive Chemistry workshopconducted by NIT Rourkela. What made this experience even more enriching wasthe privilege of learning from a distinguished lineup of professors from various IITs and IISERinstitutions, who generously shared their expertise through online lectures. This workshop delved into a myriad of fascinating topics, from fundamental principles tocutting-edge advancements in the world of chemistry. It was a true privilege to be part of alearning environment that transcended geographical boundaries, connecting passionatelearners and exceptional educators.I extend my gratitude to NIT Rourkela and all the professors who contributed to this enlighteningexperience. The program offered us to learn:1.Electronic structure theory-based molecular modeling2.Molecular simulations for biomolecules, macromolecules, and polymers3.Molecular modeling using machine learning and artificial intelligence4.Synthesis and applications of various covalent and supramolecular polymers, as well asbiomolecular assemblies5.Characterization of macromolecules through advanced analytical and spectroscopic methods6*. Highlight of the workshop:- hands-on sessions with state-of-the-art instrumentationand modeling.Let's connect and explore opportunitiesto collaborate and make a positive impact in the world of chemistry.#MolecularModeling #ScientificAdvancements #ContinuousLearning #Networking"

For upcoming AP chemistry college board exam, I would strongly recommend all students to do the past year FRQ’s from 2014-2022 exams at least (all question papers are available on the college board website with answer keys), and do the MCQ practice from AP classroom questions and the past year MCQ’s. Few general tips for chemistry: 1. Staying organized is EXTREMELY important. Whenever you watch a video or read a textbook, make sure to write the unit wise topic based notes with example problems from every concept embedded in your notes - that’s a highly useful tactic to connect the dots. Remember there are only 9 units and 91 topics in the entire course. Seems like alot, but not that difficult to retain if you have been following good learning practices since beginning of the year. 2. Pay attention to SIGNS, UNITS and sig figs always in chemistry course. Many times students make mistakes with simple algebra sign (+/-), or wrong units, or forget to write units, or do not know how to read a buret in correct sig figs, etc 3. Watch AP Daily LIVE Review videos from 2023, 2022, and 2021. Those are all available on YouTube AP daily channel. Link is https://lnkd.in/gcwBAtey They have some sample MCQ and FRQ also to work upon. 4. MEMORIZE the buzz words in certain topics such as LDF comparison in IMF’s, or entropy etc. Remember in FRQ’s, you absolutely need to write those “buzz words” to earn full credit. No matter how good your understanding or story is, if you do not capture those buzz words in your explanation, you will NOT earn the point. 5. Make sure to attempt every single part of the FRQ and understand how questions are scaffolded. Many times, answer to a previous part is used in a later part. Also, remember to always SHOW YOUR WORK on every single part of the FRQ, even if it’s just simple subtraction. This is because, even if you get an answer to a part wrong, but your process is correct, you will earn credit for that part. AP examiners will NOT penalize you for a wrong answer just because you took a wrong value from a previous part. So to maximize your score on FRQ’s, showing work for every single part independently is highly important. 6. Last, but not the least, practice EVERYDAY slowly slowly without taking much stress. The test taking experience should be enjoyable and not stressful. Every single day is crucial and even 10-20 min investment in practicing everyday will serve fruitful. And do make time to take a few full-length mock tests just to test your ability to concentrate for that long with focus (and make sure to self-assess). I am also conducting an AP chemistry boot camp program in April (for which I also gave a seminar in December sharing details of this program, and success tips for students on how to study etc). If interested, you can reach out to me at surbhichemistry2020@gmail.com. Best wishes to one and all! Work hard for the next 2 months and get your “5”! 😊
