It’s a show-stopping dessert that features the creamy flavor of peanut butter, crunchy M&M’s candy and a layer of decadent chocolate. I promise that you’ll be sneaking into the fridge to grab a bite when the kids go to bed.

The best time to make it is during the Summer. I love to keep my Husband happy with something sweet around the house, but I hate heating up my kitchen during the hot months. Since you don’t bake it, it’s a great summer dessert.

It’s also the perfect accompaniment for a BBQ party. Other guests might be slaving over the stovetop or chopping everything in sight for a salad – but you’ll be the smart one that can throw this pie together in a moment’s notice.

For the crust, use a blender toadd an entire package of oreo’s into the blender and blend until the cookies are in fine crumbs.Using a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreos, melted butter and mini m&ms.Press evenly into a 10 inch pie pan.Place in fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up.

For the filling, usea standing mixer with a whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter until creamy and smooth.Mix in the cool whip until combined

Using a rubber spatula, mix in the M&M candy.

Spoon the mixture onto the crust and spread evenly with a angled spatula.Place into the fridge for one hour. For the ganache,Using a medium microwave safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, and heavy whipping cream.Place into the microwave on increments of 30 seconds until the chocolate chips start to melt.Use a whisk and whisk until chocolate is completely melted and the ganache starts to appear thick.

Pour the ganache onto the top of the filling and spread evenly with an angled spatula.Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and mini M&M’s.Place into the fridge for another hour or until the chocolate ganache has hardened.

For thePeanut Butter Frosting,combine all ingredients and mix on medium speed until fluffy and creamy.Scoop frosting into the piping bag.Pipe frosting around the edge of the pie.

Ingredients

  • OREO CRUST:
  • 1 package of double stuffed Oreos
  • 1/4 C Mini M&M's
  • 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
  • FOR PEANUT BUTTER FILLING:
  • 2 - 8oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 C creamy and smooth peanut butter
  • 1 - 8oz container of cool whip
  • 1/4 C mini M&Ms
  • FOR CHOCOLATE GANACHE TOPPING:
  • 1 1/2 C semi-sweet chocolate chips plus some for topping
  • 3/4 C heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 C Mini M&M's
  • FOR PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:
  • 1/2 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
  • 1/4 C peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 C powder sugar
  • 3-5 tbsp heavy whipping cream

  6. Use a whisk and whisk until chocolate is completely melted and the ganache starts to appear thick.
  7. Pour the ganache onto the top of the filling and spread evenly with an angled spatula.
  8. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and mini M&M's.
  9. Place into the fridge for another hour or until the chocolate ganache has hardened.
  10. PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING DIRECTIONS: Using the standing mixer, combine all ingredients and mix on medium speed until fluffy and creamy.
  11. Scoop frosting into the piping bag. Pipe frosting around the edge of the pie and enjoy with a very large glass of coffee or milk!
