Our Slow Cooker Citrus Pork Tacos Recipe is always a hit with the whole family, the flavor of the citrus juices are amazing and such an easy recipe!

You can find all the ingredients at the grocery store. The cut of pork we recommend for this recipe is a boneless pork butt or boneless pork shoulder roast.

Ingredients needed to make Slow Cooker Citrus Pork Tacos:

  • Pork Roast
  • Orange juice
  • Limes
  • Chicken broth
  • Minced garlic
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Bay leaf
  • Orange (zest)
  • Flour tortillas or Corn tortillas
  • Lettuce
  • Pico de gallo
  • Cotija cheese

How to make Slow Cooker Citrus Pork Tacos:

  1. Place pork roast in crock pot(we love THIS one!)sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add orange juice, fresh lime juice, broth, garlic, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, and bay leaf into the slow cooker.
  3. Use tongs to rotate pork until spices and liquid are combined.
  4. Cook on low temperature for 8-10 hours, until pork is cooked all the way through.
  5. Remove pork from slow cooker when finished cooking and shred meat on a cutting board.
  6. Place shredded pork on a large baking sheet, then zest the orange over top of the pork. Squeeze the juice from the orange over top the pork as well.
  7. Broil meat for 5-7 minutes (turning once) until it starts to brown and crisp.
  8. Serve on warm tortilla with lettuce, pico de gallo, and cotija cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 pound pork roast
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 orange zest
  • 16 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup pico de gallo
  • 1/2 cup cotija cheese

Instructions

  • Place pork roast in slow cooker sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Add orange juice, lime juice, broth, garlic, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, and bay leaf into the slow cooker.

  • Use tongs to rotate pork until spices and liquid are combined.

  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours, until pork is cooked all the way through.
