Do they make single cab trucks anymore? ›

Now, according to GM Authority, the Regular Cab, short-bed Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup is back for 2022, which is something of a big deal because not all half-ton truck manufacturers even offer a single cab any more: Ram (on the latest 1500, at least), Nissan, and Toyota don't.

As mentioned previously, Single Cab trucks (also known as regular cab trucks) can only seat up to three passengers, in turn increasing the amount of available bed space. A Single Cab Chevy is your best option if you're in need of a work truck or commercial vehicle.

The most significant drawback of a single cab is the limited living space for the driver. Long-haul truckers often spend extended periods on the road, and the lack of a dedicated resting area can lead to fatigue and discomfort. Reduced Amenities: Single cab trucks often come with fewer amenities and storage options.

It is available in eight trim levels: Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali and Denali Ultimate. Three cab configurations are offered: regular cab, double cab (it's a crew cab but with smaller rear doors and less rear seat space) and crew cab. Not all trims are available in all configurations.

Chevy Regular Cab or Single Cab trucks also represent the same cab style. This cab style is common for work trucks because it has a long bed by eliminating rear passenger seats in the cab. Best for truck shoppers for that need a work truck with maximum bed length.

A regular cab is a little bit smaller and lighter than a double cab, so it should do a little better in terms of mileage, but not 25 to 28 percent better.
